Before working in real estate, DeLaura Gammage worked alone in an office managing a small business. For someone as people-oriented as DeLaura, she knew there had to be a better path for a career. After speaking with a friend who was a REALTOR®, DeLaura decided to try her hand in real estate. Once licensed, she never looked back. Representing the area of Midland, Texas, she has built a thriving business focused on serving her clients’ best interests and helping them navigate the often-stressful home buying and selling process.

DeLaura worked as a licensed assistant for nine years before striking out on her own in 2006 as a solo agent. She currently maintains five full-time, unlicensed assistants who provide support with marketing, transactions, and office duties. Over the years, she’s personally worked in multiple positions in the industry, which has given her the knowledge base to create a completely seamless process from start to finish. Her clients can tell the difference after working with other agents and their preference for DeLaura shows in her results — over 90% of clients are either repeats or a referral. DeLaura is very appreciative of each and every referral and she truly values those who support her.

DeLaura loves real estate and is always on call should her clients need her, and she makes sure to stay in touch throughout the year. “I send home anniversary gifts, postcards, and of course, important paperwork when the time comes,” she says. “We stay on top of everything and keep our clients up to date with every detail along the way.” When it comes to marketing, DeLaura’s assistants handle a lot of it. That said, she oversees the processes and makes sure that everything from the quality of photos to the Facebook ads meet her standards. “We boost every listing at least three times in the first 30 days on Facebook and Instagram to get the word out. 3D interactive tours are produced for every listing, whether it’s a $75,000 condo or a $5 million home,” explains DeLaura. Her philosophy is that all clients are equally important.

When not selling real estate, DeLaura finds time to give back to the Midland community. She’s active with Mission Agape, Safe Place, the Alzheimer’s Association, Boys & Girls Club, FCA, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and many more organizations. With two married children, seven grandchildren, two sisters and several nieces and nephews, family is a huge part of DeLaura’s life. “Family is my heart,” she says. She loves to travel with her husband or take trips with her whole family! On more relaxed evenings, they enjoy spending time with friends hosting “game night” or meeting at local restaurants.

DeLaura has built an incredible business and she’s looking forward to the busy year ahead as the real estate market continues to thrive. Ultimately, she concentrates on providing the same high level of service to her clients, from first-time homebuyers to families she has sold seven or eight homes to. “Clients tell me it feels like they are my only client because of the attention I give them," she says. “I want them to always feel like that and even more, to feel like we are friends.”
